The Frame

The idea is to build a frame to support the 400x600 X Y Stage:

In order to keep the build as simple as possible I decided to go with full size 1000mm and 250mm extrusions, no cuts were needed so far until final stages of the frame closure.

Using the Vslot Openbuilds type aluminum extrusions for this build made my life a breeze, using just the already cut rails of 1000mm and 250mm I’d achieved a perfect working space not only for cutting or engraving but for the rest of parts need it to make this project works, plenty of space for electronics and fumes exhaust systems.
